Now available for pre-order: iPhone 16, Apple Watch 10 and AirPods 4

This week, Apple introduced a wealth of new devices – and you can now pre-order them in the Apple Store, but also from retailers such as Amazon, Cyberport or Media Markt. We’re talking about the iPhone 16 (Plus / Pro / Pro Max), the Apple Watch 10 and the Bluetooth headphones AirPods 4. We’ve summarized the most important new features of the devices for you and, above all, show you where you can pre-order (possibly with a discount).

iPhone 16 (Pre-order Plus / Pro / Pro Max)

Like their predecessors, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max have a titanium casing and are available in the colors “Desert Sand” with a gold frame, “Natural”, “White” and “Black”. Prices start at 1,199 euros for the iPhone 16 Pro and 1,449 euros for the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

The latest generation of Super Retina XDR displays has grown to 6.3 inches on the iPhone 16 Pro and 6.9 inches on the iPhone 16 Pro Max, thanks to narrower display bezels. According to Apple, these bezels are the thinnest ever used in one of their products.

Under the hood, the A18 Pro chip with a 6-core CPU and 6-core GPU ensures performance. The graphics in particular are highlighted by the new graphics processor, which offers twice the ray tracing performance compared to the A17 Pro. In addition, a 16-core NPU takes care of the important AI acceleration.

The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus retain their 6.1- and 6.7-inch displays and are available in ultramarine, teal, pink, white and black. Both models are equipped with the A18 chip, which has a 6-core CPU, a 5-core GPU and a 16-core NPU compared to the A18 Pro. The A18 chip has smaller caches and does not have the fully programmable ML units of the more powerful A18 Pro.

These providers in particular offer opportunities for pre-order discounts. While Apple hardly offers any discounts or promotions even months after the sales launch, online retailers often engage in intense price wars from which customers can benefit.

Pre-order Apple Watch Series 10

From now on, you can not only pre-order the iPhone 16, but also the new Apple Watch Series 10. The smartwatch comes with a larger, brighter and more curved display, which also allows keyboard input. The new S10 SoC works inside. The case is made of aluminum and there are models in black, silver and rose gold. The watch is waterproof up to 50 meters, ten percent flatter and lighter than its predecessor and offers faster charging.

Special features include sleep apnea detection, which alerts users if breathing stops during sleep. The display updates once per second in always-on mode to show an animated second hand. The Series 10 also has improved speakers and microphones.

A titanium version replaces the stainless steel model and is 20 percent lighter. Prices for the Apple Watch start at 449 euros for the aluminum version and 799 euros for the titanium version. A special Hermès edition costs 1,579 euros.

Pre-order AirPods 4

In addition to the iPhone 6 (Plus / Pro / Pro Max) and the Apple Watch Series 10, you can also pre-order the new AirPods 4. For the first time, the in-ear headphones are available in two versions: with and without active noise cancellation. The ANC version costs 199 euros, while the headphones without ANC cost just 149 euros. According to Apple, both versions are the most comfortable AirPods developed to date. A key feature is the H2 chip, which, together with new membranes, is intended to optimize sound quality.

Also new is the ability to accept or reject calls using head gestures – a practical feature when verbal control is inconvenient. The charging options have been expanded, including wireless charging and a speaker in the charging case. With the charging case, the AirPods offer up to 30 hours of playback time and up to four hours with noise cancellation activated.
