Great American Family announces new Christmas films: schedule for 2024

Great American Media is back with its fourth annual Great American Christmas program. The network has built up both an extensive library of holiday content and new exclusive films.

“Great American Christmas,” featuring 16 new films, begins October 17 on Pure Flix and October 19 on Great American Family.

“Christmas is a time when we get back to what’s important,” said Bill Abbott, president and CEO of Great American Media, in a statement. “As a brand, Great American sets its holiday offering apart by evoking the nostalgia of holiday classics and why we love them. The timelessness of stories that affirm our faith, the love and joy of being with family and all those we love, and the hope that the holiday season makes us all our best selves. These values are at the heart of Great American Christmas, Christmas as it should be.”

On Thanksgiving night, GAF will host the linear premiere of the 2022 film “I Heard the Bells,” starring Stephen Atherholt, Jonathan Blair and Rachel Day Hughes. They will also host the 128th Tournament of Roses Parade on New Year’s Day starting at 8 a.m. ET.

During the holidays, GAF will also screen films from its library, including Candace Cameron Bure’s 2013 fan-favorite hit “Let It Snow” and the 2019 hit “When Hope Calls Christmas.”
