East Cleveland Police press conference, weeks after Labor Day shooting

EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – East Cleveland police will hold a press conference Tuesday afternoon, several weeks after a Labor Day shooting left a total of six people injured.

Shortly after the September 2 shooting, police released bodycam video of the shooting, which occurred at a gas station near the intersection of Euclid and Shaw Avenue.

The shooting occurred shortly after 2 a.m. at a Mobil gas station in the 15300 block of Euclid Avenue.

Dozens of people were at the gas station during Shaw High School’s annual reunion when shots were fired.

The video shows police finding a car riddled with bullets and shot victims.

Two of the victims were taken to University Hospital and are expected to be OK. 19 News has reached out to East Cleveland Police about the condition of the third victim, but has not received a response.

According to police, a total of six people were shot in East Cleveland within an hour and a half early Monday morning; the two incidents were unrelated.
