Struff and coach Arriens part ways

Struff and coach Arriens part ways

Tennis professional Jan-Lennard Struff and coach Carsten Arriens will end their collaboration after nine years by mutual agreement after the current season. The German number two and former Davis Cup captain announced this on Wednesday.

“In addition to his intensity and professionalism on the court, Carsten has had an enormous impact on me both personally and humanly, especially off the court,” said the 34-year-old Struff: “Not many players and coaches in tennis work together for nine years. It was an incredibly good time.” I will be forever grateful to him for that.

Under Arriens, who succeeded Ute Strakerjahn and Christoph Reichert in 2015, Struff reached his highest world ranking position of 21st in June 2023 and celebrated his only tournament victory in Munich in May 2024.
