Burglary suspect rams car through Waipahu store

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Honolulu CrimeStoppers are searching for a group of burglary suspects who rammed a car through a vape store in Waipahu.

According to police, this happened just after 11:30 p.m. on Oct. 4 when three suspects backed a white Kia sedan into the 24 Vapes store and burst through the doors.

Officials said the men then entered the store, took numerous vaping products, exited the Kia sedan and then fled the scene in a waiting white SUV driven by an unknown driver.

The incident was caught on camera by the store’s surveillance system.

Authorities released the following descriptions of the vehicles involved in the break-in:

• 2017 Kia Rio 4-door sedan, white color, Hawaii license plate TDN 520
• White four-door SUV with black rims, possibly a Mazda, unknown license plate

Meanwhile, CrimeStoppers said they are also looking for a burglary suspect in Aiea.

Police obtained video of a man forcibly opening the gate to the Hawaiian Telcom property and then cutting the power to the property’s main breaker.

HPD said the suspect then entered the main office building and took various items. He also got into two vehicles and took items.

The suspect then fled the scene in an unknown direction.

This happened on October 1st around 11:30 p.m

He is described as having a medium complexion, between 20 and 30 years old, of medium build, with tattoos on both arms, and wearing a black graphic t-shirt, blue jeans, black slippers and a black hat.

Honolulu police are also searching for a suspect accused of stealing a woman’s purse in the Chinatown area.

It happened shortly before 11:45 p.m. on September 28 when, according to police, a man approached a woman who was waiting at the bus stop on North Hotel Street. Officials said he then pulled the bag from her shoulder, causing her to fall.

He is described as a Polynesian male, 5’6″ to 5’7″ tall, slim, brown complexion, dark hair, dark eyes, wearing a black hat, red shirt, gray overalls and a black and yellow hockey jersey.
