Ypog law firm is expanding to Munich

The Ypog law firm is expanding its presence in Germany and opening a new office in Munich. In addition to offices in Berlin, Hamburg and Cologne, Ypog will now also take off in the south of Germany. The law firm has brought compliance specialist Carolin Raspé on board as a partner for its fourth location. Together with a tax lawyer who has not yet been named and is expected to join the team at the beginning of the year, she will set up the branch in the Bavarian capital.

“The office opening in Munich is an important next step on our strategic growth path, which we have consistently pursued in recent years,” says Ypog Co Managing Director Benjamin Ullrich about the new opening.

Carolin Raspé comes from Hengeler Müller

Raspé moved from Hengeler Müller to Ypog at the beginning of October. She has worked there since 2013, most recently as counsel. The lawyer brings expertise in preventive compliance advice with a focus on data protection, supply chains and other ESG topics. She also advises on complex, cross-border internal investigations and has experience working with national and international investigative authorities.

At her new employer, she strengthens the Corporate Crime, Compliance and Investigations segment as a partner. “Due to the increasing level of regulation over the years, the need for advice regarding preventative compliance and the professional processing of internal violations continues to increase,” says Raspé, commenting on her tasks at Ypog.

New partner with M&A expertise

In addition to the compliance specialist, another partner will join the start-up team in Munich in the future. Ypog is not yet revealing who this is about. The new addition is scheduled to join the firm on January 1, 2025 and strengthen the tax practice. He primarily advises on tax aspects of M&A transactions, venture capital investments, restructuring, restructuring, financing, cross-border activities and corporate tax law issues.

The team in the new office in Munich is also completed by Of Counsel and former Federal Finance Court judge Michael Wendt, Associated Partner Julian Solowjeff and Senior Associates Maximilian Trappmann, Isabella Denninger and Jacob Schreiber.
